Tunneling Nanotube‐Mediated Transcellular Autophagy Alleviates Cadmium Induced Hepatocyte Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ROS accumulation is an important upstream signal for activating transcellular autophagy. Incomplete autophagy and TNT formation are necessary conditions for activating transcellular autophagy, and the disruption of the autophagic fusion mechanism is a trigger for activating transcellular autophagy.

A perspective Study on Lead Poisoning: Exposure, Effects and Treatment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Economic and Environment Geology, 2019
Current studies focus on various aspects of lead ‘s poisoning, its distribution and interaction routes, adverse effects on human body and treatment procedures. Lead metal has been involved in human exercise from the past 6000 years.

Electrocatalytic Hydrogen Oxidation by Defect‐Enriched CuW Nanoalloy Featuring Hydrogen Spillover Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The CuW nanoalloy is synthesized via electrodeposition, with the coexistence of Cu, W/WO3 enhancing hydrogen spillover and improving hydrogen oxidation. W/WO3 facilitates hydrogen adsorption, whereas Cu supports hydrogen spillover and oxidation catalysis.

Adaptive Catalytic Nanointerfaces for Controlled Hydrogen Evolution: an in Situ Electrochemical Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The ability to switch the HER activity of precious metals at will through a reconfigurable step‐edge/nanoparticle interface, using sulfur as an inorganic mediator, is demonstrated for the first time. This methodology addresses the durability issue of highly catalytic precious metals, which are typically single‐use, thereby extending their lifespan ...

Co‐Selection of Low Cadmium Accumulation and High Yield During Tomato Improvement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study finds that large‐fruited tomatoes accumulate less cadmium (Cd) compared to wild tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. This is because, during the improvement process of tomato, the low‐Cd allele LCT1A and the large fruit allele fw3.2T are closely linked, leading to a co‐selection event.
