Lead Zirconate Titanate

2018
Ceramics are inorganic, non-metallic, solids that consist of a metal, a non-metal, a metalloid such as silicon, or a combination of these. Ceramics utilize ionic or covalent bonding, or both. When thinking of a ceramic you may think of pottery. This is perfectly reasonable since the word “ceramic” is derived from the Greek word keramikos, which means ...

Vaporization of Lead Zirconate‐Lead Titanate Materials

Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1967
A thermogravimetric investigation of the vaporization of cold‐pressed Pb(Zr 0.65 Ti 0.35 )O 3 in vacuum from 690° to 1130°C shows that the vaporization occurs in two steps.

Lead titanate nano- and microtubes

Journal of Materials Research, 2006
Lead titanate (PbTiO3) nano- and microtubes were fabricated by wetting ordered porous alumina and macroporous silicon with precursor oligomers coupled with templated thermolysis. The diameters of the PbTiO3 tubes range from a few tens of nanometers up to one micron.

Ferroelectric Properties of Lead Titanate

Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1968
The eutectic and solidus temperatures of the PbTiO 3 ‐KF binary system were investigated by DTA for four compositions. Optical studies of crystal habit as a function of crystallization conditions were used to determine favorable conditions for growing PbTiO 3

High voltage photovoltaic effect in barium titanate and lead titanate-lead zirconate ceramics

Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1975
Abstract Steady large photo-emf's proportional to length and remanent polarization were observed in the ceramic materials: BaTiO3 + 5 wt% CaTiO3, Pb(Zr0.53, Ti0.47)O3 with 1 wt% Nb, and hot pressed Pb(Zr0.65, Ti0.35)O3 with 7 and 8% lanthanum for lead substitutions. Photo-emf's are also dependent on material, grain size, and temperature.
