Symmetries and multiferroic properties of novel room-temperature magnetoelectrics: Lead iron tantalate – lead zirconate titanate (PFT/PZT)

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2011
Mixing 60-70% lead zirconate titanate with 40-30% lead iron tantalate produces a single-phase, low-loss, room-temperature multiferroic with magnetoelectric coupling: (PbZr0.53Ti0.47O3) (1-x)- (PbFe0.5Ta0.5O3)x. The present study combines x-ray scattering,

High photovoltages in ferroelectric ceramics [PDF]

open access: yes
The short-circuit currents and photo-emfs were measured for various ceramics including barium titanate, lead metaniobate, and lead titanate. It is suggested that the emfs and currents arise from the presence of photoconductor-insulator sandwiches in the ...

Sol-gel Process for the Manufacturing of Translucent Lead Zirconate Titanate Gel-monolith [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Translucent Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT) gel-monolith was prepared by partially hydrolyzing metal alkoxides solution which modified with acetylacetone(acacH). Metal alkoxides, lead di-i-propoxide, zirconium tetra-nbutoxide and titanium tetra-i-propoxide

Thermal expansion in lead zirconate titanate

open access: yesChinese Science Bulletin, 2002
The volume anomalies with temperature variations in tin-modified lead zirconate titanate ceramics are investigated. Experimental results show that the volume changes are related to the phase transitions induced with temperature. The magnitude and orientation of crystal volume changes are dependent on the particular phase transition.
