Wood and leaf anatomy of Opiliaceae
1983The wood and leaf anatomy of representatives of the 9 genera of the Opiliaceae are described in detail. It is possible to separate the genera on the base of both wood- and leaf anatomical characters. Herein the presence of cystoliths of varying shape and size is important. Some comments on the taxonomy and possible phylogeny of the familiy are given.

Comparative leaf anatomy of Heisteria (Olacaceae)
1983The leaf anatomy of all 33 species of Heisteria is described, based on a study of 143 specimens. There is a considerable amount of diversity in stomatal type (anisocytic, anomocytic, cyclocytic, laterocytic or paracytic), in occurrence and type of mesophyll sclereids, and of fibre bundles along the leaf margin.

Seasonal changes in specific leaf weight and leaf anatomy of apple
2020The position of newly expanded shoot leaves in the canopy of apple trees had significant and similar effects on specific leaf weight (SLW), leaf thickness, length of palisade tissue, and number of cell layers in the palisade tissue. Inside canopy leaves had lower SLW, leaf thickness, palisade length, and number of palisade cell layers than middle and ...
