The Voluntary Adoption of Integrated Reporting for Releasing Sustainability and Circular Economy Disclosure: An Empirical Case

open access: yesBusiness Strategy &Development, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper aims to examine the rationale underlying the voluntary adoption of the integrated report (IR) for sustainability disclosure by a company (Coopservice) that is not required to adopt the sustainability reporting requirements (at the time of the research, the Non‐Financial Reporting Directive 2014/95/EU), based on interviews with key ...

Tree Cover and Temperature Shape the Distribution of Epiphytic Pleurozia in Asia: Forest Havens in a Warming Climate

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study uses an optimized MaxEnt model to predict the potential distribution of Pleurozia across Asia under current and future climate scenarios. Our results show that evergreen broadleaf forest cover, temperature annual range, mean diurnal range, and altitude are the key environmental determinants, and that suitable habitats are projected to expand

A Multi‐Factor Habitat Suitability Model for Asian Elephants in the Greater Mekong Subregion: Effects of Vegetation and Climate

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study assessed the combined effects of climate change and vegetation factors on the habitat suitability of Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) in the Greater Mekong Subregion. By integrating MaxEnt modeling with structural equation modeling, we identified plant distribution as a key determinant of elephant habitat selection under future climate ...

Origins Under the Blowtorch: Frequent Fire Shifts the Balance Between Sunda‐Origin and Sahul‐Origin Plant Species in a Tropical Savanna

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
We examined the effect of fire frequency on the composition of vegetation of different biogeographic origins, to understand how frequently an ecosystem can be subject to fire but still retain its evolutionary diversity. There was dramatic structural and biogeographic change in less than 20 years from dry tropical woodlands into savannas, creating ...

The seed bank created by the dung of large herbivores drives seed circulation in an alpine meadow

open access: yesEcosphere, Volume 17, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Seed circulation (i.e., sexual reproduction) is vital for the regeneration of aboveground grassland vegetation (AGV). It occurs in several steps: seed production (seed rain, SR), dispersal (endozoochory, i.e., dung seed bank, DSB), formation of the soil seed bank (SSB), germination, seedling growth, and establishment of adult plants.
