We present a chromosome‐level genome assembly of Siraitia grosvenorii and, through comparative genomics, uncover a conserved UGT73 tandem array driving triterpenoid saponin diversification in Cucurbitaceae. Crystalized SgUGT73AM30 further reveals the regioselectivity mechanism underlying its catalytic activity.

Effects of Epibrassinolide on Sugar Transport and Allocation to the Epicotyl in Cucumber Seedlings
Epibrassinolide (EBR, 24-epibrassinolide), one of the brassinosteroids (BRs), promotes elongation and sugar accumulation in the epicotyl of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) seedlings.

A low-cost open-source imaging platform reveals spatiotemporal insight into leaf elongation and movement [PDF]
Plant organs move throughout the diurnal cycle, changing leaf and petiole positions to balance light capture, leaf temperature, and water loss under dynamic environmental conditions.

Multi‐trait genome‐wide association mapping identifies a central hub regulator, COLD AND CATECHINS REGULATOR 1 (CCR1), and its excellent natural allele variation, coordinately enhancing cold tolerance and promoting catechins biosyntheis. CsCCR1 interacts with CsCBF1/3 and is transcriptionally activated by CsLUX and CsKUA1 to promote catechins ...

Tassel initiation is synchronized to the elongation rates of leaf primordia in Zea mays
Plants must coordinate the environmental conditions with internal cues in order to transition from vegetative to floral development at a time when reproductive success is likely.

Response of arctic sedges to release from grazing: leaf elongation in two species of Carex [PDF]
We have used demographic methods to determine whether increased rates of leaf elongation occur in two sedges, Carex subspathacea Wormsk and Carex xflavicans Nyl., when heavily grazed by Lesser Snow Geese (Chen caerulescens caerules- cens (L.)) at La ...

A fully soft, self‐reconfigurable gripper inspired by rapeseed flowers is monolithically 3D‐printed and electronics‐free, switching between diagonal and parallel finger arrangements. Establishing a self‐reconfigurable grasping paradigm, the gripper enables diverse manipulation tasks, including rotating bulbs, picking fruits, grasping cross‐scale ...
