Complete mitochondrial genome of the tomato leafminer Tuta absoluta (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae)
The complete mitochondrial genome of the tomato leafminer Tuta absoluta was determined in this study. It is 15,290 bp in length and consists of 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes, and a putative control region.

Endophytic fungal isolates Hypocrea lixii F3ST1 and Beauveria bassiana G1LU3 were evaluated for their potential to endophytically colonize and induce active compounds in Phaseolus vulgaris, as a defense mechanism against pea leafminer (Liriomyza ...

Abstract Alien plants have generally been shown to support reduced arthropod abundance, biomass, and diversity compared to native plant species, but inferences have typically come from studies limited in taxonomic and geographic scope. Here, we make use of data from a unique citizen science project, Caterpillars Count!, that consists of nearly 70,000 ...

Electroantennogram responses of the polyphagous leafminer Liriomyza sativae and its generalist parasitoid Diglyphus isaea to host and non-host plant odours of L. sativae were investigated. The odours of healthy leaves can elicit distinct EAG responses in

Low intensities of warm white ALAN were a stronger inhibitor of diapause initiation than urban warming, indicating that changes in brightness or light colour may not be sufficient to mitigate ecological impacts and ALAN from common sources can extend seasonal mosquito biting activity and reproduction into late autumn.

Convergence of plant-leafminer associations on two continents
Plant-herbivore interactions are known to play a pivotal role in shaping global biodiversity and maintaining biosphere stability, with leafminers being recognized as a unique and specialized ecological group within these networks.

Enhancing Species Distribution Models by Considering Dispersal Ability
We designed an experiment using 10 species with varying dispersal abilities, comparing their potential future distributions under realistic dispersal constraints versus assumptions of unlimited dispersal. Our results demonstrate that ignoring dispersal limitations leads to a significant overprediction of suitable habitats.

Leafminers on Ornamental Plants
Revised! ENY-326, a 4-page illustrated fact sheet by Eileen A. Buss, describes larvae that feed between the upper and lower surfaces of leaves, creating serpentine or blotchy tunnels inside the leaves, including specific sections on Azalea Leafminers, Yellow Poplar Weevils, Blotch Leafminers, Citrus Leafminers, and methods of control for this type of ...
