Leakage resistance of transmission line insulators along the coast
Conference Record of the 1992 IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation, 2003The leakage resistance of transmission line insulators suspended along the coast decreases with the accumulation of sea salt due to wind from the sea, particularly when the relative humidity is high. To determine the dependence of the insulation properties of a string of three standard suspension insulator units and a long rod insulator on weather ...

Determination of leakage resistance of Schottky contacts by photovoltage measurements
Journal of Applied Physics, 1994The leakage resistance of Schottky contacts has been determined from photovoltage measurements, thus allowing the contribution of the leakage current to the current transport in the Schottky contacts to be easily evaluated. It is found that under identical conditions of sample fabrication, different Schottky contacts have nearly the same leakage ...

Leakage-Resistant Blood Vessels in Mice Transgenically Overexpressing Angiopoietin-1
Science, 1999Angiopoietin-1 (Ang1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) are endothelial cell–specific growth factors. Direct comparison of transgenic mice overexpressing these factors in the skin revealed that the VEGF-induced blood vessels were leaky, whereas those induced by Ang1 were nonleaky. Moreover, vessels in Ang1-overexpressing mice were resistant

Leakage resistance of suspension porcelain insulators in coastal fog conditions
Proceedings of 5th International Conference on Properties and Applications of Dielectric Materials, 2002The leakage resistance of transmission line insulators suspended along a coast decreases with the accumulation of sea salt due to sea winds, particularly when the relative humidity is higher and the shed surface is slightly wet with fog, rain or wet snow.

The leakage resistance of endodontic fiber obturators.
General dentistry, 2007Fiber obturators have been introduced into endodontics but few reports exist regarding their efficacy compared to standard obturation materials. This study evaluated the leakage resistance of fiber obturators compared with other obturation materials. All specimens showed a progressive increase in leakage with time.

Leakage resistance of the InnoEndo fiber obturation system.
Practical procedures & aesthetic dentistry : PPAD, 2006To ensure long-term function, endodontic restorations require proper sealing of the root canal system. Recent studies have recognized that microleakage in endodontically treated teeth has negative consequences (ie, apical migration of bacteria) on their prognosis, often resulting in failure. Findings in the dental literature suggest that the innovative

Studying Time-Series of Wet Leakage Resistances for Modules with Various Backsheet Types
2021During the last years PV-modules fail very often due to their backsheet material, and cause inverter issues. IV-curves and power measurements are not affected and therefore other methods are necessary to disclose the errors. We carried out time-series of wet leakage current measurements and imaging methods on field-aged PVmodules with various ...

1997 IEEE Industrial and Commercial Power Systems Technical Conference. Conference Record, 2002
During normal operation of transit vehicles, currents drawn by traction motors in the vehicle cause a voltage to develop on the running rails, causing leakage currents to flow to ground over the rail fastener surfaces which may be contaminated with dirt and moisture.

A Leakage‐Resistant Spatially Weighted Active Contour for Brain Tumor Segmentation
International Journal of Imaging Systems and TechnologyABSTRACT Accurate delineation of brain tumor in a magnetic resonance (MR) image is crucial for its prognosis. Recently, active contour models (ACM) are increasingly being applied in brain tumor segmentation, owing to their flexibility in capturing intricate boundaries and optimization‐driven approach.

Improvement of leakage resistance of PJVS for NIST-4 watt balance experiment
2016 Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements (CPEM 2016), 2016A Programmable Josephson Voltage Standard (PJVS) system is used for the voltage measurements in the NIST-4 watt balance experiment. In order to achieve the uncertainty of voltage measurements better than 1 part in 109' it is critical to increase the leakage resistance of the PJVS to ground.
