Impacts of Device Geometry and Layout on Temperature Profile during Large‐Area Photonic Curing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The study investigates how gate geometry affects peak curing temperature during photonic curing of solution‐processed indium zinc oxide thin‐film transistors. Using 3D simulations and experimental validation, it reveals that larger gate areas and smaller aspect ratios increase curing temperature and thus improve transistor performance. Findings provide

MODERNISATION OF STEAM TURBINE CONSTRUCTION AT REGENERATIVE STEAM EXTRACTION POINT

open access: yesTASK Quarterly, 2010
The paper presents a methodology which has led to improvement of the turbine stage performance in the regenerative steam extraction chamber area by introducing a ring which collects the leakage flow from the gaps over unshrouded rotor blade tips and ...

Quantifying Information Leakage in Finite Order Deterministic Programs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Information flow analysis is a powerful technique for reasoning about the sensitive information exposed by a program during its execution. While past work has proposed information theoretic metrics (e.g., Shannon entropy, min-entropy, guessing entropy ...

Efficient and Scalable Radiative Cooling for Photovoltaics Using Solution‐Processable and Solar‐Transparent Mesoporous Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Graded refractive index (GRI) structures are prepared from the layer‐by‐layer spray coating of the mesoporous SiO2 nanoparticles, showing high solar transparency and thermal emissivity. Under outdoor conditions, after 50 days, the GRI‐coated photovoltaics show on average 6.65 ± 1.48 °C lower than that of the non‐coated references, maintaining 80.9 ± 8 ...

Modeling and Analysis of Loading Effect in Leakage of Nano-Scaled Bulk-CMOS Logic Circuits [PDF]

open access: yesDans Design, Automation and Test in Europe - DATE'05, Munich : Allemagne (2005), 2007
In nanometer scaled CMOS devices significant increase in the subthreshold, the gate and the reverse biased junction band-to-band-tunneling (BTBT) leakage, results in the large increase of total leakage power in a logic circuit. Leakage components interact with each other in device level (through device geometry, doping profile) and also in the circuit ...

Facile Synthesis of CuxS Electrocatalysts for CO2 Conversion into Formate and Study of Relations Between Cu and S with the Selectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Copper sulfide based electrocatalysts for CO2 conversion are selective for production of formate as major product. Transformations under electrochemical conditions result in significant sulfur loss, and this study examines the nature of how persistent, residual sulfur (observed as surface SO42– species and S dissolved in the electrolyte) can sustain ...

Leakage Mobility in Superconducting Qubits as a Leakage Reduction Unit [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Leakage from the computational subspace is a damaging source of noise that degrades the performance of most qubit types. Unlike other types of noise, leakage cannot be overcome by standard quantum error correction techniques and requires dedicated leakage reduction units.
