Economics, Mothercraft and Leakage II
The social conditions of our times which we have briefly examined in our previous article have seriously impaired the art or craft of motherhood. The principal reason for this has been economic insecurity together with the contributory causes already referred to, the ‘dissipation of life’ and the diminished population of the home. The economic security ...

Effect of Clearance Leakage Loss on Economics of Steam Turbine
The leakage loss is very important to the economics of steam turbine. But in the practical operation process, the radial clearance often is enlarged in steam turbine flow passage. Aimed at this phenomenon, the influences of clearance leakage on the relative internal efficiency and the power of steam turbine are studied in this paper.

Leakage Targets and Socio‐Economic Efficiency
Water and Environment Journal, 2001AbstractDuring the last few years, the introduction of mandatory leakage targets for UK water companies has had the positive effect of reducing levels of leakage, while requiring the companies to operate at an economic level of leakage. Unfortunately, the determination of company‐specific economic levels of leakage have been a source of disagreement ...

Environmental valuation and the economic level of leakage
Urban Water, 2001Environmental costs and benefits are increasingly required to be integrated within economic analyses of project options in the water industry in the UK and elsewhere. This paper considers the inclusion of environmental valuations within economic level of leakage (ELL) calculations.

Ensuring economic security in case of leakage of confidential information
National Security and Strategic Planning, 2022The relevance of countering the leakage of confidential information in connection with the active digitalization of management processes, the digital economy, and the expansion of remote work has been identified. The emergence and expansion of a new type of rent - confidential information is indicated. Tendencies in the field of leakage of confidential

Economic Optimization of Distribution Leakage Control
Water and Environment Journal, 1988ABSTRACTEvry WATER DISTRIBUTION system has an economic optimum level of leakage. To maintain that optimum level of leakage there is a corresponding optimum level of leakage control activity.Despite much work on this subject, particularly in recent years with publication of DoE Report No. 261, many undertakers remain unclear about their economic optimum

Efficiency of Carbon storage with leakage: Physical and economical approaches
Energy, 2007In this paper, two methods are proposed to assess the efficiency of carbon capture and storage (CCS) involving back-leakage of CO2 from geological storage reservoirs to the atmosphere. The first method is a physical approach based on radiative forcing.
