Leakage Flow Over Shrouded Turbine Blades
Volume 3: Heat Transfer; Electric Power; Industrial and Cogeneration, 2000In this paper the flows over shrouded turbine blades with single, double, and triple tip seals were simulated by using the two-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations and a compressible k-ε turbulence model. A multi-zone technique was used to generate the grids in the complex flow channel.

Control of leakage flows using periodic excitation
Fluids 2000 Conference and Exhibit, 2000Many flows can be characterized as leakage flows from high-pressure sides to lowpressure sides, resulting in increased inefficiency. This paper experimentally explores reducing leakage flows using periodic excitation. A synthetic jet actuator was used as the periodic excitation source in this experiment.

Volume 1: Turbomachinery, 1996The three-dimensional viscous flow characteristics and the complex vortex system downstream of the rotor of an industrial exial fan have been determined by an experimental investigation using hot-wire anemometer. Single-wire slanted and straight type probes have been rotated about the probe axis using a computer controlled stepper motor.

Through Flow Analysis and Leakage Flow of a Regenerative Pump
