Finite Element Analysis on Magnetic Flux Leakage of Interior Permanent Magnet Generator for Vehicle

open access: yes, 2011
In order to solve the problem that no-load magnetic flux leakage coefficient is not accurate when it is calculated by the method of magnetic circuit, a model of interior permanent magnet(IPM) generator with 36 slots for vehicle was built through the ...

Microscopic Origin of Temperature‐Dependent Anisotropic Heat Transport in Ultrawide‐Bandgap Rutile GeO2

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rutile GeO2${\rm GeO}_{2}$ exhibits orientation‐dependent heat transport with temperature‐dependent anisotropy, showing higher cross‐plane thermal conductivity along [001] than along the equivalent in‐plane [100] and [010] directions. Temperature‐dependent TDTR measurements and first‐principles phonon calculations identify the microscopic phonon ...

Short Circuit Fault Detection and Categorization for Secondary Distribution Network Using Non-Contact Magnetic Measurements

open access: yesIEEE Access
Reliable electric power distribution strongly depends on rapid fault detection. Overhead distribution conductors are particularly prone to short circuit faults mainly caused by growing vegetation and other environmental factors.

Translational Considerations for Injectable Biomaterials and Bioscaffolds to Repair and Regenerate Brain Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The repair and regeneration of brain tissue faces both biological and technical challenges. Injectable bioscaffolds offer new opportunities to stimulate tissue regrowth in the brain by recruiting neural stem cells. Here, the translational issues are reviewed that need to be address to advance this promising new therapeutic approach from the bench to ...

Flexible GMR sensors for novel flux leakage testing capabilities

open access: yes, 2022
In order to detect small and hidden material defects or micro-cracks, weak and localized magnetic stray fields need to be detected and characterized on the magnetic surface.

Infusible Extracellular Matrix Biomaterial Enhances Cell‐Specific Pro‐Repair Responses Following Acute Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We measure the cell‐specific responses of administering infusible ECM (iECM) in acute myocardial infarction (MI) across multiple timepoints. Using single‐nucleus RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, we measure macrophage activation, fibroblast remodeling, increased vascular development, lymphangiogenesis, cardioprotection, and neurogenesis ...

Study on problems in detecting plural cracks by alternating flux leakage testing using 3D nonlinear eddy current analysis

open access: yes, 2003
The alternating magnetic flux leakage testing is used for the detection of cracks in a steel plate. A new technique of how to detect plural cracks, which are located at a very short distance from each other, using the parallel (x-) component of the ...

Modular Control of PEG‐Poly(2‐Oxazoline) Co‐Assembly Enables Tunable Aggregate Properties for Intraocular Pressure Management

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A thermo‐responsive poly(2‐oxazoline)‐based injectable formulation is developed to modulate intraocular pressure (IOP) in both normal and hypotonic eyes. By adjusting the PEG content, the aggregation behavior is finely tuned, enabling IOP elevation without long‐term deposition.
