High Scanning Rate Millimeter-Wave Circularly Polarized CTS Leaky Wave Antenna

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation
A millimeter-wave (mmW) circularly polarized (CP) continuous transverse stub (CTS) leaky wave antenna (LWA) with a high scanning rate is proposed in this communication. The LWA is composed of an improved parallel plate waveguide (PPW) based CTS array and

Backward-to-Forward Wide-Angle Fast Beam-Scanning Leaky-Wave Antenna With Consistent Gain

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2021
A planar periodic leaky-wave antenna (PLWA) with continuous backward-to-forward beam-scanning capability and consistent gain is presented. The PLWA is made of a new type of periodically arranging meander line structures, in which the capacitive coupling ...

Single-Conductor Strip Leaky-Wave Antenna

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2003
The radiation characteristics of a single-conductor strip leaky-wave antenna is investigated. This structure has only a single-conductor strip on a substrate without a background plane. The broadband characteristics of the first higher order space-wave mode render this structure a broadband antenna. These result in a very wide leaky region.

A Periodic Coplanar Strips Leaky-Wave Antenna with Horizontal Wide-Angle Beam Scanning and Stable Radiation

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2022
A periodic leaky-wave antenna with unidirectional horizontal radiation and wide-angle beam-scanning capacity through broadside is presented. The proposed antenna is made of a slow-wave coplanar strips line with open-ended slots and short-ended slots ...

2-D Multibeam Leaky-Wave Antenna Based on Modified Luneburg Lens

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters
In this letter, a multibeam leaky-wave antenna (LWA) based on a modified Luneburg lens (LL) beamforming network is proposed. The antenna performs a simple structure and low profile with 2-D beam scanning.

Design of a Microwave/Millimeter-Wave Shared-Aperture Antenna by Hybridizing Series-Fed Antenna Array and Leaky Wave Antenna

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation
Applications operating in both microwave (MW) and millimeter-wave (MMW) are important for future wireless communication systems. To fulfill the requirements of dual-band applications, a novel shared-aperture antenna is proposed with broadside radiation ...
