Leaky-Wave Antennas as Metal Rims of Mobile Handset for mm-Wave Communications
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2021In this communication, leaky-wave antennas (LWAs) at mm-wave bands are designed on the metal rims of the mobile handsets for mm-wave communications.

High-Scanning-Rate and Wide-Angle Leaky-Wave Antennas Based on Glide-Symmetry Goubau Line
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2020A glide-symmetry Goubau line leaky-wave antenna for achieving both high scanning rate and wide scanning angle range is introduced. The novelty of the design is its combination of glide symmetry and a single-layer Goubau line.

Millimeter waveguides, such as coplanar lines, microstrip lines and dielectric guides, are open structures where energy leakage is bound to occur. This leakage can occur, for example, when there are discontinuities in the guiding structure, or perhaps when the guide is excited in an inappropriate mode.

In this paper, a trough leaky-wave antenna is considered that was inspired by the half-width microstrip leaky-wave. The TLW antenna is naturally suitable for flush-mount installation in a metallic body such as an automobile. The radiation characteristics will be investigated in more detail such as the design of the matching cavities and their effect on

Security in terahertz WLANs with Leaky wave antennas
Wireless Network Security, 2020This paper presents the first security study of THz networks with Leaky Wave Antennas (LWAs). We employ a mix of analytical models and over-the-air experiments to explore the unique security properties of LWA links.

Single-Conductor Strip Leaky-Wave Antenna
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2003The radiation characteristics of a single-conductor strip leaky-wave antenna is investigated. This structure has only a single-conductor strip on a substrate without a background plane. The broadband characteristics of the first higher order space-wave mode render this structure a broadband antenna. These result in a very wide leaky region.

Horn Image Guide Leaky-Wave Antenna
MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 1981A novel approach for designing a frequency-scanning millimeter-wave antenna is described. The antenna is constructed by using an image wide leaky-wave antenna embedded in a long trough with metal flares along both sides. The optimum flare angle for achieving maximum gain is theoretically predicted.

Direct Synthesis of Frequency-Scanned Monopulse Half-Width Microstrip Leaky-Wave Antennas
European Conference on Antennas and Propagation, 2020We propose a synthesis technique for half-width microstrip leaky-wave antennas (HWM LWAs) producing frequency-scanned monopulse patterns with two channels. The election of the substrate thickness and dielectric constant is of key importance to obtain the
