From Learning Styles to Experience Styles
2010 10th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies, 2010In this article we propose a cultural framework that allows to go beyond the learning styles and to define the experience styles, i.e. a set of more general styles that are related to: a) individual characteristics, b) the dimensions of the experience, c) the levels of human interaction, d) the characteristics of the educational process.

The term “learning styles” refers to the concept that individuals differ in regard to what mode of instruction or study is most effective for them. Proponents of learning-style assessment contend that optimal instruction requires diagnosing individuals' learning style and tailoring instruction accordingly.

DualAST: Dual Style-Learning Networks for Artistic Style Transfer
Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2021Artistic style transfer is an image editing task that aims at repainting everyday photographs with learned artistic styles. Existing methods learn styles from either a single style example or a collection of artworks. Accordingly, the stylization results

Deep Learning for Fashion Style Generation
IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, 2021In this article, we work on generating fashion style images with deep neural network algorithms. Given a garment image, and single or multiple style images (e.g., flower, blue and white porcelain), it is a challenge to generate a synthesized clothing ...

Learned Style and Learned Styles
2014Eighteenth-century writers on music recognized a spectrum of learned styles. InnovAiT: Education and inspiration for general practice, 2019
General practice requires a breadth of knowledge and continual learning. Professional development requires ongoing commitment, dedication and a strong work ethic. Often acceptance of the need to learn is not matched by knowledge of how best to learn. Educational theory suggests that being aware of individual learning preference allows more effective ...
