Pathogenic Neurofibromatosis type 1 gene variants in tumors of non‐NF1 patients and role of R1276

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Somatic variants of the neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) gene occur across neoplasms without clinical manifestation of the disease NF1. We identified emerging somatic pathogenic NF1 variants and hotspots, for example, at the arginine finger 1276. Those missense variants provide fundamental information about neurofibromin's role in cancer.

CALCULATION METHOD FOR NONLINEAR DYNAMIC LEAST-ABSOLUTE DEVIATIONS ESTIMATOR

open access: yesJOURNAL OF THE JAPAN STATISTICAL SOCIETY, 2001
Summary: In a nonlinear dynamic model, the consistency and asymptotic normality of the Nonlinear Least-Absolute Deviations (NLAD) estimator were proved by \textit{A. A. Weiss} [Econ. Theory 7, 46-68 (1991)], even though they are difficult to compute in practice.

TWO-STAGE HUBER ESTIMATION [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we study how the Huber estimator can be adapted to the presence of endogeneity in a two stage equations setting similar to that of 2SLS. We propose an estimation procedure that is at the same time relatively (i) simple, (ii) robust and (iii)

Practical Considerations for Choosing Between Tobit and SCLS or CLAD Estimators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Practical considerations for choosing between Tobit, symmetrically censored least squares (SCLS) and censored least absolute deviations (CLAD) estimators are offered.

Distance to G14.33-0.64 in the Sagittarius Spiral Arm: H2O Maser Trigonometric Parallax with VERA

open access: yes, 2010
We report on trigonometric parallax measurements for the Galactic star forming region G14.33-0.64 toward the Sagittarius spiral arm. We conducted multi-epoch phase-referencing observations of an H2O maser source in G14.33-0.64 with the Japanese VLBI ...

KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

Antenna Design for Absolute Sky Measurements at Gigahertz Frequencies—a First Step toward Detecting CMB Spectral Distortions from Recombination

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
There exist inevitable deviations in the cosmic microwave background spectrum from that of a blackbody. The additive distortions from photons emitted over the epoch of recombination are one such deviation.

Adaptive path tracking control of unmanned agricultural machinery with fixed-time super-twisting sliding mode based on RLS-ELM

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
IntroductionAccurate path tracking is essential for achieving intelligent operation in unmanned agricultural machinery. To address the limitations of traditional agricultural machine path tracking methods, which are susceptible to high frequency ...

Multi‐omics and low‐input proteomics profiling reveals dynamic regulation driving pluripotency initiation in early mouse embryos

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...
