Molecular phylogeny of the Bacidiaceae (Lecanorales, lichenized Ascomycota)
Mycological Research, 2001The phylogeny of the family Bacidiaceae (Lecanorales, Ascomycota) was investigated using 65 nuclear ITS1-5,8S-ITS2 ribosomal DNA sequences, 63 of which were newly determined. After exclusion of ambiguous alignment, the data set contained 285 variable characters, 212 of which were parsimony-informative.

The Distribution of Selected Diagnostic Characters in the Lecanorales
The Lichenologist, 1998AbstractTraditional classification concepts in lichenology are often, but not always, supported by molecular results. Molecular data should be compared and correlated with micro-morphological and ultrastructural information before systematic rearrangements are undertaken.

Contributing to the process of reassigning lecideoid lichens to natural taxa, we assessed phylogenetic relationships and species delimitation in the Calvitimela aglaea complex (Tephromelataceae) using DNA sequence data and morphological/anatomical and chemical characters. Phylogenetic analysis of nuclear (ITS, MCM7, TEF1-α) and mitochondrial (ribosomal

Koerberiella Wimmeriana (Lecanorales, Porpidiaceae) and Its Lichenicolous Fungi
The Lichenologist, 1990AbstractLecanora creatina Norman ex Th. Fr. and Lecanora leucophyma Leighton were found to be synonyms of Koerberiella wimmeriana (Körber) B. Stein; both represents the isidiate growth form of the species. The lichenicolous fungi Arthonia almquistii Vainio, Endococcus propinquus (Körber) D. Hawksw. and Sagediopsis aquatica (B.
