LEDs and Use of White LED for Lighting
2014LED is an acronym for “light emitting diode.” The first important fact is that LED is an electronic component, a diode, a component that can conduct current in one direction and not the other. As many other electronics components, controlling a LED is an easy topic, in order to obtain different behavior. Due to the fact that a LED must produce light, a

Not “wage-led” versus “profit-led,” but investment-led versus consumption-led growth
Journal of Post Keynesian Economics, 2015Abstract:This paper offers a critique of the concepts of “wage-led” and “profit-led” growth based on an application of the circuit of capital macroeconomic framework. Wages are shares of capital outlays sustaining production and circulation of goods; profits are shares of sales.

Uniform utilization of each LED in an LED array
2011 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Consumer Electronics (ISCE), 2011When we use halftone as the method to adjust the brightness of an LED array, there may be a difference in utilization among the LEDs which may cause a high utilization of a particular one, easily damaging and reducing the life of the array. In this paper we therefore propose a shift method by using different halftone patterns with complement in the LED

Closing the Cyan Gap Toward Full-Spectrum LED Lighting with NaMgBO3:Ce3+
, 2020The photoluminescence spectrum generated by an ordinary phosphor-converted white light-emitting diode (pc-wLED) that combines a blue LED chip with a yellow phosphor or a near-UV LED with red, green...

A Study on Frequency Response in LED-LED Communication
The Journal of the Institute of Webcasting, Internet and Telecommunication, 2012In this paper, we demonstrate that indoor wireless optical communication is possible with lighting LEDs without a photo diode or a solar cell. A LED is used for both light emitting and light signal detection. This scheme is very useful because transmission is possible without any additional communication systems.

Prospects and challenges of mini‐LED and micro‐LED displays
Journal of the Society for Information Display, 2019We review the emerging mini/micro–light‐emitting diode (LED) displays featuring high dynamic range and good sunlight readability. For mini‐LED backlit liquid crystal displays (LCDs), we quantitatively evaluate how the device contrast ratio, local dimming

LED-to-LED visible light communication networks
Proceedings of the fourteenth ACM international symposium on Mobile ad hoc networking and computing, 2013Visible Light Communication (VLC) with Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) as transmitters and receivers enables low bitrate wireless adhoc networking. LED-to-LED VLC adhoc networks with VLC devices communicating with each other over free-space optical links typically achieve a throughput of less than a megabit per second at distances of no more than a few ...

On the dynamics of profit-led and wage-led growth
Cambridge Journal of Economics, 2007This paper examines how variable output and profit share jointly determine investment and saving, while the difference between investment and saving drives the changes in output and profit share. Analysis of the resulting pair of differential equations yields novel implications for the multiplier process.
