LED-to-LED visible light communication networks

Proceedings of the fourteenth ACM international symposium on Mobile ad hoc networking and computing, 2013
Visible Light Communication (VLC) with Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) as transmitters and receivers enables low bitrate wireless adhoc networking. LED-to-LED VLC adhoc networks with VLC devices communicating with each other over free-space optical links typically achieve a throughput of less than a megabit per second at distances of no more than a few ...

Organic LEDs Combined With Inorganic LEDs

Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2011
An organic light-emitting device (OLED) is coupled with inorganic LEDs to strengthen the OLED's weak point (i.e., low luminous intensity). To this end, side-view LED bars are deployed on the sides of the glass substrate of OLED. To extract not only OLED light but also LED light from the glass substrate, a microlens array (MLA) film is attached to the ...

Not “wage-led” versus “profit-led,” but investment-led versus consumption-led growth

Journal of Post Keynesian Economics, 2015
Abstract:This paper offers a critique of the concepts of “wage-led” and “profit-led” growth based on an application of the circuit of capital macroeconomic framework. Wages are shares of capital outlays sustaining production and circulation of goods; profits are shares of sales.

LED kimono

ACM SIGGRAPH ASIA 2009 Art Gallery & Emerging Technologies: Adaptation, 2009
In pre-war Japan, kimonos were encoded with clues indicating gender, caste, age, class, and social ranking. Geographical location defined the colors, as certain plants that produced particular colors only grow in certain regions. Silk techniques are also regional, and the difference between fine and rough silk indicated relative wealth.

LED-Temperatursensor (LED Temperature Sensor)

tm - Technisches Messen, 2007

Led Zeppelin’s Led Zeppelin IV

2005
In this wickedly entertaining and thoroughly informed homage to one of rock music’s towering pinnacles, Erik Davis investigates the magic-black or otherwise-that surrounds this album. Carefully peeling the layers from each song, Davis reveals their dark and often mystical roots-and leaves the reader to decide whether Led Zeppelin IV is some form of ...
