Supertranslations at timelike infinity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We propose a definition of asymptotic flatness at timelike infinity in four spacetime dimensions. We present a detailed study of the asymptotic equations of motion and the action of supertranslations on asymptotic fields.

On L-Functions of Ternary Zero Forms and Exponential Sums of Lee and Weintraub

open access: yesJournal of Number Theory, 1994
\(L\)-functions of ternary zero forms, which are a modification of the zeta functions associated with the prehomogeneous vector space of \(2\times 2\) symmetric matrices acting on by the group \(GL_ 2\), are studied. The special values of such \(L\)-functions are explicitly described in terms of general Bernoulli numbers by discovering remarkable ...

Locally conformally Kähler solvmanifolds: a survey

open access: yesComplex Manifolds, 2019
A Hermitian structure on a manifold is called locally conformally Kähler (LCK) if it locally admits a conformal change which is Kähler. In this survey we review recent results of invariant LCK structures on solvmanifolds and present original results ...

Infinitesimal Transformations of Locally Conformal Kähler Manifolds

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
The article is devoted to infinitesimal transformations. We have obtained that LCK-manifolds do not admit nontrivial infinitesimal projective transformations. Then we study infinitesimal conformal transformations of LCK-manifolds.

Spi-C positively regulates RANKL-mediated osteoclast differentiation and function

open access: yesExperimental and Molecular Medicine, 2020
Bone maintenance: regulating cells that break down bone A gene-controlling protein called Spi-C promotes the development of bone-processing cells called osteoclasts; details of the molecular mechanisms involved will aid understanding of Spi-C’s role in ...

A Correlation for the Prediction of the Adiabatic Joule-Thomson Coefficient of Pure Gases and Gas Mixtures [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 1992
A correlation based on the general form of cubic equations of state has been derived. This equation provides a convenient mathematical form of the Joule-Thomson coefficient in terms of the state variable V and T.

Nonpropagating Form Drag and Turbulence due to Stratified Flow over Large-Scale Abyssal Hill Topography

open access: yesJournal of Physical Oceanography, 2018
Drag and turbulence in steady stratified flows over “abyssal hills” have been parameterized using linear theory and rates of energy cascade due to wave–wave interactions.
