Taking the LEED? Analyzing Spatial Variations in Market Penetration Rates of Eco-Labeled Properties [PDF]
This paper investigates the impact of policies to promote the adoption of LEED-certified buildings across CBSA in the United States. Drawing upon a unique database that combines data from a large number of sources and using a number of regression ...

Adsorption of Xe and Ar on Quasicrystalline Al-Ni-Co
An interaction potential energy between and adsorbate (Xe and Ar) and the 10-fold Al-Ni-Co quasicrystal is computed by summing over all adsorbate-substrate interatomic interactions.

A novel procedure for fast surface structural analysis based on LEED intensity data [PDF]
By evaluating LEED intensities from different diffraction beams taken only at discrete energy intervals (which may be as large as 15–20 eV) the same degree of reliability in surface structure determination can be reached as with the conventional ...

Controlling Heterogeneous Catalysis With Subsurface Oxygen
During CO oxidation on rhodium surfaces, the reaction dynamics are markedly altered in the presence of subsurface oxygen. Subsurface oxygen stabilizes the nascent physisorbed CO2 formed after the surface reaction, allowing it to become transiently trapped and thermalize with the surface.

Diffuse LEED intensities of disordered crystal surfaces : II. Multiple scattering on disordered overlayers [PDF]
The diffraction of low energy electrons from disordered overlayers adsorbed on ordered substrates is treated theoretically by an extension of Beeby's multiple scattering method. A lattice gas model is assumed for the disordered adsorbate layer.

Inducing Ferromagnetism by Structural Engineering in a Strongly Spin‐Orbit Coupled Oxide
ABSTRACT Magnetic materials with strong spin‐orbit coupling (SOC) are essential for the advancement of spin‐orbitronic devices, as they enable efficient spin‐charge conversion, complex magnetic structures, spin‐valley physics, topological phases and other exotic phenomena.
