Shear‐Induced Nematic Alignment in Polysulfone Melts
Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.Shear‐induced alignment is investigated by means of rheology and birefringence on an amorphous linear polysulfone melt. The absence of crystallization makes PSU particularly enabling to investigate temperature effects on the shear‐alignment of linear polymers, unveiling the role of chain relaxation times and possible enthalpic contributions.
