Sonicated Carbon Nanotube Catalysts for Efficient Point‐of‐use Water Treatment
The growing demand for freshwater and rising contamination of water sources require innovative treatment technologies. Sonicated carbon nanotubes can activate persulfate for selective contaminant degradation via nonradical pathways. This scalable approach enables rapid pollutant removal, offering a sustainable solution for decentralized freshwater ...

Jordan alpha-centralizers in rings and some applications
Let R be a ring, and alpha be an endomorphism of R. An additivemapping H: R ightarrow R is called a left alpha-centralizer (resp. Jordan left alpha-centralizer) if H(xy) = H(x)alpha(y) for all x; y in R (resp. H(x^2) = H(x)alpha(x) for all x in R).

Production is at the left edge of the PDC but still central: response to commentaries [PDF]
In one of the commentaries to my target article (MacDonald, 2013) advocating the Production Distribution Comprehension (PDC) account, Ramscar and Baayen (2013) generously suggest that it's an “intellectual pleasure” to contemplate the PDC claims, even if they don't entirely agree with them.

Fiber‐reinforced elastin‐like tubular scaffolds are engineered to achieve anisotropic and reversible actuation under external stimuli. By adjusting fiber's angle, actuation behavior is finely tuned, enabling distinct actuation responses, even within different regions of the same scaffold.

A one‐step electrochemical strategy is utilized to develop a flexible, enzyme‐free biosensor for the sensitive detection of uric acid (UA). The hierarchical cobalt nanostructures synergistically enhance the performance of the biosensor, resulting in a broad detection range of 5 to 700 µM with a sensitivity of 6.75 µA µM−1 cm−2 and a low detection limit

AAVR Expression is Essential for AAV Vector Transduction in Sensory Hair Cells
Decreased sensitivity to AAV vector transduction in the outer hair cells (OHCs) of adult mice is primarily attributed to reduction of AAVR (Kiaa0319l; Au040320). Knockout of AAVR reduces AAV vector transduction efficiency in both inner hair cells (IHCs) and OHCs in neonatal mice.

The TALENTs randomized controlled trial evaluates the potential of nucleotides supplementation as an anti‐aging intervention in older adults. After 19 weeks, nucleotides supplementation significantly reduces DNA methylation age, suggesting a delay in epigenetic aging, and improves insulin sensitivity without severe adverse events.

This study presents an innovative temperature difference (TD) design with an in‐plane gradient to optimize cooling channels in proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) under high current density (HCD) loading. The positive temperature difference (PTD) design improves dynamic response by enhancing hydration upstream and mitigating flooding ...
