Advances in revascularization of the left coronary artery
Coronary Artery Disease, 2021Ischaemic heart disease is the most common cardiovascular disease worldwide, and it contributes to a significant source of morbidity and mortality internationally. It can be asymptomatic for many years and present suddenly with acute coronary syndrome or can be progressive with angina and eventual acute myocardial infarction.

Traumatic aneurysm of the left coronary artery
The American Journal of Cardiology, 1971Abstract To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of the development of an aneurysm of a major coronary artery secondary to a traumatic wound to the heart. The patient sustained a single shotgun pellet wound to the heart, the pellet hitting the left anterior descending coronary artery and lodging in the wall of the left atrium.

Left main coronary artery aneurysm
Herz, 2012Left main coronary artery aneurysms (LMCA) are usually asymptomatic and are rarely encountered during coronary angiography. The most serious complications include coronary thrombosis, acute myocardial infarction and sudden death. Atherosclerosis is the most common cause, although several autoimmune diseases and congenital abnormalities have been ...

Left Main Coronary Artery Aneurysm
New England Journal of Medicine, 2018Left Main Coronary Artery Aneurysm A 49-year-old man with hypertension was referred for evaluation of recurrent angina. Coronary angiography revealed a large aneurysm (shown in a video) in the left main coronary artery.

Complete Left Coronary Artery Obstruction
Chest, 1973A case of angiographically documented complete left cornary artery (LCA) obstruction is presented. Complete occlusion of the main LCA is associated with a poor prognosis, and patients with this lesion should be considered for immediate emergency coronary bypass graft surgery.

Revascularization of Left Main Coronary Artery
Cardiovascular Revascularization Medicine, 2019Left main coronary artery (LMCA) disease affect 5-7% of patient undergoing coronary angiography and is associated with multivessel CAD in 70% of the cases. Untreated significant LMCA disease is associated with significant mortality and morbidity. CABG is the traditional therapy for revascularization in LMCA disease.

Patterns of Flow in the Left Coronary Artery
Journal of Biomechanical Engineering, 1984The purpose of this investigation is to describe our preliminary observations of the overall pattern of flow in a mold of the left coronary artery of a pig. Flow in the coronary mold was visualized by the injection of dye into the sinus of Valsalva. Studies were performed during steady flow at rates of 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 mL/min.

Left Main Coronary Artery Disease
Southern Medical Journal, 1979Eighteen patients with significant stenosis of the left main coronary artery are reported and compared with 1,040 patients described in the ten largest published series. In comparison to previous reports, our patients have a higher incidence of congestive heart failure, previous myocardial infarction (especially inferior wall), poorer left ventricular ...

Absent left circumflex coronary artery
Catheterization and Cardiovascular Diagnosis, 1994AbstractThis is the first reported case of a coronary artery anomaly in which the left circumflex artery was absent. The lateral and posterior aspects of the left ventricle were supplied by a large diagonal artery and a very long right coronary artery which continued along the atrioventricular groove. © 1994 Wiley‐Liss,Inc..
