Reconstruction of anomalous left coronary artery from pulmonary artery in an adult patient: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Cardiothoracic Surgery, 2019
Background Anomalous left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery is a congenital heart disease in which myocardial ischemia occurs within 1 year of birth. Adults have been reported to survive owing to the development of collateral perfusion from right

Angioplasty of the left main coronary artery for isolated left main coronary artery disease

open access: yesThe Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, 1983
Operative technique and results of angioplasty of the left main coronary artery (LMCA) for isolated LMCA disease are reported. Nine consecutive patients, six men and three women, were operated upon. Their ages varied from 46 to 69 years, mean 51 years. All had 50% to 90% stenosis of the LMCA and Class III angina.

Successful percutaneous coronary intervention in the setting of an aberrant left coronary artery arising from the right coronary cusp in a patient with acute coronary syndrome: a case report

open access: yesBMC Cardiovascular Disorders, 2017
Background An aberrant origin of the left coronary artery (LCA) from the right coronary cusp (RCC) is an extremely rare congenital anomaly. We here report on successful percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in a patient presenting with acute coronary ...

Reducing Long‐Term Mortality Post Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Requires Systemic Differentiation of Patient‐Specific Coronary Hemodynamics

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2023
Background Despite the proven benefits of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and its recent expansion toward the whole risk spectrum, coronary artery disease is present in more than half of the candidates for TAVR. Many previous studies do not
