Left ventricular aneurysm in a child

Pediatric Cardiology, 1982

Subvalvular Left Ventricular Aneurysms

Cardiovascular Pathology, 2000
Subvalvular left ventricular aneurysms can be subaortic or submitral with variable etiology. This is a retrospective study of 19 subvalvular aneurysms seen in 16 cases. There were 12 isolated subaortic aneurysms, 3 isolated submitral aneurysms, and in 1 case with multiple subaortic and submitral aneurysms.

The theory of the left ventricular aneurysm

The Bulletin of Mathematical Biophysics, 1966
A spherical model for the human left ventricle with two different types of aneurysms, circular and rectangular-square, is proposed and meaningful relations are derived between the parameters of the aneurysms and ventricle. Such ventricular parameters as stroke volume, end-diastolic volume, and end-systolic volume are given normal human values to ...

Left Ventricular Aneurysm

1995
Left ventricular aneurysm develops following myocardial infarction in 10%–38% of patients.1,7,41 Since Cooley’s report9 in 1958 of resection utilizing cardiopulmonary bypass, the operation has become an established treatment for ventricular aneurysm causing congestive heart failure, intractable ventricular arrhythmia, or systemic emboli; resection of ...
