Left Ventricular Geometry and Survival in Patients With Normal Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction
The American Journal of Cardiology, 2006In hypertensive populations, left ventricular (LV) geometry, which is characterized by hypertrophy, predicts cardiovascular outcome. The left ventricle can also alter its shape by concentric remodeling (CR) in the absence of LV hypertrophy, a feature that is detected by echocardiography. This study assessed the prevalence and prognostic significance of

Dilated cardiomyopathy with re-worsening left ventricular ejection fraction
Heart and Vessels, 2018Re-worsening left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) is observed in some patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) despite initial improvements in LVEF. We analyzed cardiac outcomes and clinical variables associated with this re-worsening LVEF.

Does impedance cardiography reliably estimate left ventricular ejection fraction?
Journal of Clinical Monitoring, 1996The objective of our study was to evaluate impedance cardiography (IMP) as a noninvasive method to determine the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). METHODS. A total of 24 patients, 8 men and 16 women, aged 45.0 +/- 12.9 years, participated in the study. They used cardiotoxic chemotherapeutic drugs or suffered from cardiac failure.

Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction and Results of Cardiac Surgery
Cardiology, 1974The results of prosthetic valve replacement in 64 patients and coronary revascularization or aneurysmectomy in 58 patients were analyzed 1 year after the operation.

Isolated left ventricular non-compaction with normal ejection fraction
CardioVascular Journal of Africa, 2011Isolated left ventricular non-compaction (LVNC) is a genetic disease that is being increasingly recognised in patients presenting with heart failure of unknown origin. In this case report, we describe a patient with classic LVNC without clinical heart failure and with normal left ventricular ejection fraction.

Prostacyclin I2 (PGI2) increases left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF)
Prostaglandins, Leukotrienes and Essential Fatty Acids, 1989In order to evaluate the effect of PGI2 on left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) an intravenous infusion in 10 patients (3 males, 7 females; 36 to 63 years) with an impaired LVEF (34.7 +/- 14.8%) was performed. LVEF was determined by means of 99mTc-pertechnetate radionuclide ventriculography.

Heart failure: preserved left ventricular ejection fraction
2016Abstract Nearly half of all patients with heart failure present with a preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (HFPEF). HFPEF is a pathophysiologically and clinically heterogeneous disease with an overall similar outcome to heart failure patients with a reduced ejection fraction.

The effects of stress on left ventricular ejection fraction
European Journal of Nuclear Medicine, 1988The left ventricular ejection fraction (EF) was studied in 17 healthy volunteers with a new ambulatory left ventricular function monitor. Heart rate, EF, and blood pressure measurements were made during rest, a psychiatric stress interview, cold exposure, exercise, and eating.

Software Discrepancies in Radionuclide-Derived Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction
Journal of Nuclear Medicine TechnologyGated equilibrium radionuclide angiography (ERNA), or multigated acquisition scanning, is a well-established technique to monitor left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in patients treated with potentially cardiotoxic chemotherapy. To determine the results of a true change in LVEF, low inter- and intrareader variability is important. The aim of this
