“Isolated” Diastolic Dysfunction in Left Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction

We sought to investigate the prescence of "isolated" diastolic disease, defined as reduced long-axis early diastolic velocity with normal systolic velocity, in 21 young patients with left outflow tract obstruction. Most patients had depressed systolic velocities despite normal ejection fractions.
