The intensive lath‐shaped Ag2Te Widmannstätten nanoprecipitates are in situ generated in SnTe via AgPbSbTe3 alloying, and align with the formation of the parallel type and twin type interfaces. These Widmannstätten nanoprecipitates effectively scatter phonons to reduce the lattice thermal conductivity, resulting in a significantly enhanced average ZT ...

Spin-gap behaviour in the 2-leg spin-ladder BiCu2PO6
We present magnetic suscceptibility and heat capacity data on a new S=1/2 two-leg spin ladder compound BiCu2PO6. From our susceptibility analysis, we find that the leg coupling J1/k_B is ~ 80 K and the ratio of the rung to leg coupling J2/J1 ~ 0.9.

AI‐Driven Defect Engineering for Advanced Thermoelectric Materials
This review presents how AI accelerates the design of defect‐tuned thermoelectric materials. By integrating machine learning with high‐throughput data and physics‐informed representations, it enables efficient prediction of thermoelectric performance from complex defect landscapes.

Reducing switching losses through MOSFET-IGBT combination [PDF]
This paper introduces a configuration aimed at switching losses reduction trough a power leg constructed by combining a MOSFET and an IGBT. The combined use of these different switches leads to the turn-on losses reduction trough the use of the faster ...

A Twisted Ladder: relating the Fe superconductors to the high $T_c$ cuprates
We construct a 2-leg ladder model of an Fe-pnictide superconductor and discuss its properties and relationship with the familiar 2-leg cuprate model. Our results suggest that the underlying pairing mechanism for the Fe-pnictide superconductors is similar

Active Diffusion Controlled Dual Stability in Thermoelectrics for Sustainable Heat Harvesting
Introducing a Mg interlayer at the junction simultaneously stabilizes Mg3(Bi,Sb)2 materials and contacts for over 100 days. This dual stabilization derives from suppressing detrimental Mg diffusion and compensating for Mg loss, thereby maintaining an outstanding power density of 0.45 W cm−2 and remarkable conversion efficiency of 8.6% in aged modules ...

Background Maintaining skeletal muscle health (i.e., muscle size and quality) is crucial for preserving mobility. Decreases in lower limb muscle volume and increased intramuscular fat (IMF) are common findings in people with impaired mobility.

Evidence for site-centered stripes from magnetic excitations in CuO superconductors
The success of models of coupled two-leg spin ladders in describing the magnetic excitation spectrum of La_[2-x]Ba_xCuO_4 has been widely interpreted as evidence for bond-centered stripes.
