Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica, 1974Application for abortion may be regarded as an openly demonstrated rejection of motherhood and a sign of poor female identification. An attempt was made to test this hypothesis by means of an inventory measuring psychological feminity-masculinity applied to a group of 96 Swedish abortion applicants and a group of 32 pregnant women intending to deliver.
