A hybrid method for solving time fractional advection–diffusion equation on unbounded space domain
In this article, a hybrid method is developed for solving the time fractional advection–diffusion equation on an unbounded space domain. More precisely, the Chebyshev cardinal functions are used to approximate the solution of the problem over a bounded ...

Grain boundary triple junctions are an essential ingredient of the microstructure of polycrystalline materials. In this study, a triple junction is observed using atomic‐resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy and characterized. Computer simulations reveal that the junction has a dislocation character that is determined by the joining ...

Milled polycrystalline NMC811 cathode (MPC NMC) with smaller secondary particle and higher surface area had 1) greater cathode tortuosity, 2) reduced surface Ni on the cycled MPC cathodes consistent with surface reconstruction, and 3) increased Ni deposition from cathode‐anode crosstalk, manifesting in lower functional capacity and higher impedance ...

A hybrid approach for piecewise fractional reaction–diffusion equations
In this paper, the Caputo and Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivatives are handled to introduce a type of piecewise fractional derivative. More precisely, a linear combination of the Caputo and Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivatives are considered in ...

Mellin transforms with only critical zeros: Legendre functions [PDF]
We consider the Mellin transforms of certain Legendre functions based upon the ordinary and associated Legendre polynomials. We show that the transforms have polynomial factors whose zeros lie all on the critical line Re $s=1/2$.

Large-Parameter Asymptotic Expansions for the Legendre and Allied Functions [PDF]
Surprisingly, apart from some special cases, simple asymptotic expansions for the associated Legendre functions $P_\nu ^\mu (z)$ and $Q_\nu ^\mu (z)$ for large degree $\nu$ or large order $\mu$ are not available in the literature. The main purpose of the

Physical reservoir computing (PRC) based on spin wave interference has demonstrated high computational performance, yet room for improvement remains. In this study, we fabricated this concept PRC with eight detectors and evaluated the impact of the number of detectors using a chaotic time series prediction task.

Legendre functions, spherical rotations, and multiple elliptic integrals [PDF]
A closed-form formula is derived for the generalized Clebsch–Gordan integral $\int_{-1}^{1} {[}P_{\nu}(x){]}^{2}P_{\nu}(-x)\,\mathrm {d}x$, with Pν being the Legendre function of arbitrary complex degree $\nu\in\mathbb{C}$.

CFD modeling and sensitivity‐guided design of silicon filament CVD reactors
Abstract Filament‐based chemical vapor deposition (CVD) for silicon (Si) coatings is often treated as an adaptation of planar deposition. But this overlooks fundamental shifts in transport phenomena and reaction kinetics. In filament CVD, the filament acts as a substrate, heat source, and flow disruptor simultaneously. In this work, we ask: What really
