Random polynomials in Legendre sequences [PDF]
It is crucial in pseudorandomness cryptographic applications that the smaller key used as a seed can be generated at random. Thus, if the Legendre sequence based on a polynomial (as proposed by Hoffstein and Lieman) is used, then it is important to ...

Topological Point Defects in SmC* Liquid Crystals Under Mechanical Disturbance
Tangetial air jet shear inducess island formation and nucleates topological point defects in uniform SmC films. Island bounded by edge dislocation loops shrink and transform into isolated point defects under continued shear. Mechanical perturbatio provides a controllable route for defect engineering in smectric liquid crystal thin films.

The eigenvalues of one-speed neutrons in a slab with forward and backward scattering
The eigenvalue spectrum is studied for one-speed neutrons in a slab with forward and backward scattering. First, the transport equation describing the interaction of neutrons in a system with general geometry is given.

Generalized Diffusion Theory for Radiative Transfer in Fully Anisotropic Scattering Media
Graphical illustration of the diffused intensity pattern in an anisotropic slab illuminated by a pencil beam, alongside angular distribution of the radiance for different anisotropic scattering coefficients combinations. ABSTRACT A generalized anisotropic‐diffusion framework is developed for transport problems in media described by a tensorial ...

The article analyses macro‐moth (Lepidoptera) inventory data from 292 nature reserves across the Czech Republic, comprising 941 species. It examines how reserve characteristics, geographic position and altitude influence species richness, community composition and their associations with species traits.

Classical and generalized Jacobi polynomials orthogonal with different weight functions and differential equations satisfied by these polynomials [PDF]
summary:In this contribution we deal with classical Jacobi polynomials orthogonal with respect to different weight functions, their special cases - classical Legendre polynomials and generalized brothers of them.
