A Legendre wavelet–based stability prediction method for high-speed milling processes

The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2020
Induced by the regeneration mechanism, chatter vibration that has adverse effects on surface finish and productivity could occur in most cutting processes. Therefore, accurately predicting chatter and taking timely suppression measures are desperately needed.

Discontinuous Legendre wavelet Galerkin method for the generalised Burgers-Fisher equation

International Journal of Computing Science and Mathematics, 2018
This paper presents discontinuous Legendre wavelet Galerkin (DLWG) technique for solving the generalised Burgers-Fisher equation. Weak formulation of this equation and numerical fluxes are addressed by utilising the advantages of the both Legendre wavelet and discontinuous Galerkin (DG) approach.

A study of cryosurgery of lung cancer using Modified Legendre wavelet Galerkin method

Journal of Thermal Biology, 2018
In this paper, we have developed a new mathematical model describing bio-heat transfer during cryosurgery of lung cancer. The lung tissue cooled by a flat probe whose temperature decreases linearly with time. The freezing process occurs in three stages and the whole region is divided into solid, mushy and liquid region.

Legendre Wavelet Modified Petrov–Galerkin Method in Two-Dimensional Moving Boundary Problem

Zeitschrift für Naturforschung A, 2017
Abstract In this study, we developed the two-dimensional Legendre wavelet modified Petrov–Galerkin method for solving the two-dimensional moving boundary problem arising during melting of solid whose one surface is kept under most generalised boundary condition, and other two surfaces are insulated.

Mixed discontinuous Legendre wavelet Galerkin method for solving elliptic partial differential equations

International Journal of Computer Mathematics, 2011
By incorporating the Legendre multiwavelet into the mixed discontinuous Galerkin method, in this paper, we present a novel method for solving second-order elliptic partial differential equations (PDEs), which is known as the mixed discontinuous Legendre multiwavelet Galerkin method, derive an adaptive algorithm for the method and estimate the ...

A Legendre Wavelet Method for the Radiative Transfer Equation in Remote Sensing

Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 2002
An approximate method for solving radiative Transfer equation in a slab medium with an isotropic scattering is presented. The method is based upon Legendre wavelets approximations. The differential and integral expressions which arise in the radiative transfer equation are converted into some linear systems of differential equations which can be solved
