Leiomyosarcoma of the Hand

Handchirurgie · Mikrochirurgie · Plastische Chirurgie, 2015
Soft-tissue sarcomas of the hand are rare and the devastating effect of an undiagnosed sarcoma warrants clinical vigilance. We present the case of an unsuspected leiomyosarcoma localised in the hand in order to underline (i) the rarity of the disease in this site, (ii) the role of adequate surgical treatment in the first step, (iii) the relationship ...

Leiomyosarcoma of the Larynx

Tumori Journal, 2003
Leiomyosarcoma involving the larynx is extremely rare and may be difficult to diagnose. Because of the rarity of this tumor, little information exists on its long-term follow-up and optimal management. Leiomyosarcoma of the mediastinum

British Journal of Diseases of the Chest, 1975
A case of leiomyosarcoma of the posterior mediastinum is presented; 2 other malignant and 7 benign smooth muscle tumours of the mediastinum have been collected from the literautre. The tendency for blood-borne and local recurrence in the leiomyosarcomas is demonstrated. Various theories for the origin of these tumours are examined.

Leiomyosarcoma of the esophagus

Diseases of the Esophagus, 2003
Leiomyosarcomas of the esophagus are rare, malignant, smooth-muscle tumors. The presenting symptoms are indistinguishable from other esophageal neoplasms, though the history may be longer due to the slow growth of these tumors. Barium studies may show large intramural masses with ulceration or tracking, expansile intraluminal masses or areas of luminal
