Historical Fragmentation in Atlantic Forest Explains the Diversification of a Clade of Mountaintop Bromeligenous Frogs (Leptodactylidae: Crossodactylodes)

open access: yesZoologica Scripta, Volume 54, Issue 6, Page 823-839, November 2025.
ABSTRACT The Atlantic Forest domain is a biodiversity hotspot with remarkable amphibian diversity, including over 700 species, 70% of which are endemic. Most of these endemic species have restricted geographic ranges, often confined to mountainous areas, as exemplified by the leptodactylid genus Crossodactylodes.

Ameliorative Effects of High‐Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Methylphenidate Against Tramadol‐Induced Cognitive Impairment: The Role of Hippocampal Oxidative Stress

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
Both MPH and HIIT improved tramadol‐induced cognitive impairments. HIIT improved these disorders, probably through modulating oxidative stress in the hippocampus. Although MPH disrupted the balance of oxidative stress, it probably improved cognitive impairments through another mechanism.

Beyond Histones: Unveiling the Functional Roles of Protein Acetylation in Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes

open access: yesCell Biology International, Volume 49, Issue 10, Page 1301-1318, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Lysine acetylation plays a crucial role in cellular processes and is found across various evolutionary organisms. Recent advancements in proteomic techniques revealed the presence of acetylation in thousands of non‐histone proteins. Here, we conducted extensive meta‐analysis of 48 acetylomes spanning diverse organisms, including archaea ...
