Application of common duckweed (Lemna minor) in phytoremediation of chemicals in the environment: State and future perspective.

Chemosphere, 2019
Over the past 50 years, different strategies have been developed for the remediation of polluted air, land and water. Driven by public opinion and regulatory bottlenecks, ecological based strategies are preferable than conventional methods in the ...

Metabolomic and transcriptomic investigation of the mechanism involved in enantioselective toxicity of imazamox in Lemna minor.

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2021
Imazamox (IM) is a chiral pesticide that has been widely used in agriculture. Currently, few studies have investigated the toxicity mechanisms of imazamox to aquatic macrophyte from the enantiomer level.

Biosorption of methylene blue from water by live Lemna minor

, 2021
A number of green treatment technologies have been used for textile wastewater treatment, among which phytoremediation is a low cost, effective, and promising alternative -to conventional treatment techniques.

Individual and combined effects of amoxicillin, enrofloxacin, and oxytetracycline on Lemna minor physiology.

Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2020
We investigated individual and combined effects of environmentally representative concentrations of amoxicillin (AMX; 2 μg l-1), enrofloxacin (ENR; 2 μg l-1), and oxytetracycline (OXY; 1 μg l-1) on the aquatic macrophyte Lemna minor.

Phytoremediation of anaerobically digested swine wastewater contaminated by oxytetracycline via Lemna aequinoctialis: Nutrient removal, growth characteristics and degradation pathways.

Bioresource Technology, 2019
The concentration of antibiotics in anaerobically digested swine wastewater (ADSW) usually gradually increases due to the addition of antibiotics in livestock feed. Lemna aequinoctialis was used to treatment synthetic ADSW contaminated by oxytetracycline

Municipal wastewater treatment by combining in series microalgae Chlorella sorokiniana and macrophyte Lemna minor: Preliminary results

, 2020
Conventional treatment of municipal wastewater requires large inputs of energy, and high operation and maintenance costs. On the other hand, the use of microalgae and macrophytes on wastewater treatment offers an alternative approach that combines ...

A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE MORPHOLOGY OF LEMNA GIBBA L. AND LEMNA MINOR L.

Acta Botanica Neerlandica, 1973
SUMMARY Fifteen strains of subgenus Lemna, collected in ponds and ditches in the western part of The Netherlands, strain G3 (previously described as Lemna gibba) and strains 6573 and F (previously described as Lemna minor) were aseptically cultured on M-medium in the presence and absence of EDDHA. When cultivated on EDDHA medium the strains showed a

TRANSLOCATION EXPERIMENTS IN THE FIELD WITH THE LEMNA GIBBA - LEMNA MINOR COMPLEX

Acta Botanica Neerlandica, 1974
SUMMARY Translocation of a clone of the flat form of the Lemna gibba – Lemna minor complex to the site of a gibbous population resulted in a persistence of the flat form, which is indicative of a genetical basis of the frond shape of this flat clone.

FLOWERING IN LEMNA MINOR

Acta Botanica Neerlandica, 1970
SUMMARY A study was made of the photoperiodic induction of flowering in Lemna minor, strain 6573. For comparison some experiments were performed with L. gibba. Like the latter, L. minor, strain 6573, proves to be a typical long-day plant. The critical daylength is about 10.5 hrs in a 24 hrs cycle, the response being, however, very weak.
