Length-weight relationships of Lake Kariba fishes [PDF]
The parameters a and b of the length-weight relationship of the form W = aL super(b) were computed for 40 species from tables/graphs presented in E. Balon's Fishes of Lake Kariba, Africa.

Low‐voltage FIB‐SEM tomography combined with a image preprocessing pipeline improves phase contrast and enables reliable machine‐learning segmentation of conductive networks in lithium‐ion battery electrodes. Structural descriptors are extracted from segmented images, done semimanually and automated, and compared.

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

Length-Weight Relationship of Flier (Centrarchus macropterus) in Moro Creek [PDF]
Length-weight relationships provide foundational knowledge for managing fisheries populations. However, there are many species where the length-weight relationships are not widely understood. The Flier (Centrarchus macropterus) is one species where there

New AI‐Assisted Approach for Expanding the Solution Space: Application to Lattice Structure Design
This work introduces an innovative framework for designing structured materials by ex panding the design space through reparameterization of qualitative variables into continuous structural descriptors. Combined with machine‐learning‐based prediction and multi‐objective optimization, the approach enables the discovery of novel lattice architectures ...

Low birth weight for gestation and airway function in infancy: exploring the fetal origins hypothesis [PDF]
Background: Poor fetal growth has been associated with impaired airway function in adult life, but evidence linking birth weight and airway function in early childhood is sparse.

In situ synchrotron high‐energy X‐ray diffraction reveals the real‐time high‐temperature phase evolution of a ternary V‐9Si‐6.5B alloy. The study uncovers a kinetically delayed V5SiB2 → V8SiB4 transformation governed by massive structural and chemical barriers.
