This is the first reported case of a crystalline pseudohypopyon presenting as a layer of "snowdrift deposits" that settled inferiorly in the anterior chamber of the eye of a 55-year-old man and was associated with freely floating crystals in the aqueous humor, producing a "snowy Christmas Eve" appearance.

The age-related cataract development consequent upon a loss of the lens capsule barrier properties proved to be associated with accumulation of sodium, calcium, phosphorus and potassium. For the first time the use of spatial cluster and correlation analyses showed that the physical light scattering in the crystalline lens volume depends on changes in ...

Abstract.Purpose: We report a patient (Case 1) with Bietti crystalline corneoretinal dystrophy (BCD) associated with previously unknown findings of crystal‐like deposits on the anterior and posterior lens capsules. This patient is one of four (Cases 1–4) in whom we have found BCD associated with the same mutation in the CYP4V2 gene. Methods: We ...

[The biomechanical properties of the crystalline lens capsule in emmetropia and myopia].
Oftalmologicheskii zhurnal, 1990Morphometric and electronmicroscopic studies of the capsule of a clear lens depending on the degree of myopia and age as compared with the capsule of a clear lens in emmetropia and myopia have shown that with age the anterior capsule of a clear lens becomes thicker, while the posterior capsule becomes thinner and increases in length.

EXFOLIATION OF THE MOST SUPERFICIAL LAMELLA OF THE ANTERIOR CAPSULE OF THE CRYSTALLINE LENS
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1930Ailing 1 reported seven cases of exfoliation of the lens capsule. I likewise observed seven cases of this condition at Bellevue Hospital. The appearance of the capsule of the lens and the conclusions to be drawn from the observations tallied with those of Dr. Alling.

Removal of the crystalline lens allows a thin homogeneous membrane to be seen between vitreous and aqueous. It is separated from the vitreous by an optically clear space, and seems to extend as a hyaloid membrane over the entire front of the vitreous. Read before the American Ophthalmological Society, June, 1931. 1930 Chesnut street.
