Optimizing the intraocular lens formula constant according to intraocular lens diameter. [PDF]
AIM: To determine whether the different diameters of a specific intraocular lens (IOL) have significantly different optimized SRK/T A constants and whether these new A constants can improve refractive outcomes. METHODS: Data were collected prospectively from Jan. 2011 to Dec.

Intraoperative Measurement of Crystalline Lens Diameter in Living Humans. [PDF]
There are no reports on accurate measurement of lens equatorial diameter of the living human eye. This study aimed to measure lens equatorial diameter with a special measurement device during cataract surgery and examine the relationships with preoperative parameters. From April 7 to December 1, 2019, the equatorial diameters of 24 eyes from 24 patients

We investigated changes in ciliary body ring diameter, lens dimensions and lens refractive index distributions with accommodation in young adults. A 3T clinical magnetic resonance imaging scanner imaged right eyes of 38 18-29 year old participants using a multiple spin echo sequence to determine accommodation-induced changes along lens axial and ...

Accommodative Changes in Lens Diameter in Rhesus Monkeys [PDF]
Some debate surrounds the accommodative mechanism in primates, particularly whether the lens equatorial diameter increases or decreases during accommodation. This study has been undertaken to measure the relationship between changes in lens diameter and refraction during accommodation in rhesus monkeys.Photorefraction was used to measure accommodation,

Large diameter nanostructured gradient index lens
In this paper we report on the development and optical properties of nanostructured gradient index microlenses with good chromatic behavior. We introduce a new fabrication concept for the development of large diameter nanostructured gradient index microlenses based on quantized gradient index profiles and the use of nanostructured meta-rods.

Large diameter electrically tunable lens for ophthalmic distance accommodation
Electrically tunable liquid crystal lens with 30 mm diameter is presented based on the refractive Fresnel concept. Relatively large optical power variation range (from – 0.74 to +0.71 Diopters) is demonstrated along with very low root mean square aberrations (≤0.15 µm).

Influence of the Overall Intraocular Lens Diameter on Rotational Stability
Purpose: To evaluate the rotational stability of two intraocular lenses (IOLs) of similar design and material but with a difference of 1 mm in overall length. Methods: In this prospective study patients with age-related cataract were included. An IOL with an overall diameter of

Evaluation of the Relationship between Corneal Diameter and Lens Diameter in Children
Primary intraocular lens (IOL) implantation has gained acceptance for management of infantile cataracts because of the advantage of reduced amblyopia risk. The aim of the study was to investigate the association between corneal diameter as measured from the white-to-white distance and natural lens diameter in children.
