On the Adjacent Cycle Derangements
A derangement, that is, a permutation without fixed points, of a finite set is said to be an adjacent cycle when all its cycles are formed by a consecutive set of integers. In this paper we determine enumerative properties of these permutations using analytical and bijective proofs.

Periods of Leonardo Sequences and Bivariate Gaussian Leonardo Polynomials
In this study, we investigate the periodic characteristics of Leonardo, Leonardo-Lucas, and Gaussian Leonardo sequences, presenting our findings through lemmas and theorems.

The Hausdorff Dimension of the Penrose Universe
Penrose fractal tiling is one of the simplest generic examples for a noncommutative space. In the present work, we determine the Hausdorff dimension corresponding to a four‐dimensional analogue of the so‐calledPenrose Universe and show how it could be used in resolving various fundamental problems in high energy physics and cosmology.

Sunflower Array Antenna with Adjustable Density Taper
A deterministic procedure to design a nonperiodic planar array radiating a rotationally symmetric pencil beam pattern with an adjustable sidelobe level is proposed. The elements positions are derived by modifying the peculiar locations of the sunflower seeds in such a way that the corresponding spatial density fits a Taylor amplitude tapering law which

5D Hyperchaotic Image Encryption Scheme Based on Fibonacci Q‐Matrix
This article proposed an image encryption scheme along a novel five‐dimensional hyperchaotic system and a Fibonacci Q‐matrix (FQ‐matrix) for gray images. This designed algorithm follows two key stages: the confusion stage and the diffusion stage. In the confusion step and diffusion step, the placement of the plain image pixels is replaced by a 5D ...

Hyper-Dual Leonardo Quaternions
In this paper, hyper-dual Leonardo quaternions are defined and studied. Some basic properties of the hyper-dual Leonardo quaternions, including their relationships with the hyper-dual Fibonacci quaternions and hyper-dual Lucas quaternions, are analyzed ...

On approximation methods of Leonardo Fibonacci
AbstractAs is well known, Leonardo da Pisa gave a very precise approximation for the only irrational root of the equation x3 + 2x2 + 10x = 20. Two hypotheses concerning his method were put forward in the XIX century. With good reason they were criticized by M. Cantor in his Vorlesungen.

Some boundedness and convergence properties of generalized Fibonacci’s‐type recurrences and their associated iterated recurrence ratios between pairs of consecutive terms are discussed under a wide number of initial conditions. Also, a more general, so‐called (k, q) Fibonacci’s recurrence and the associated Fibonacci’s ratio recurrences are ...

Portraits of Leonardo da Vinci [PDF]
Using an iterative method, applied to image processing, a portrait of a young man, probably a self-portrait of Leonardo da Vinci, is restored. Merging this portrait with the self-portrait in red chalk, we can have the features of a middle-aged Leonardo ...
