Split Quaternionic Representations of Horadam Sequences and Their Binet, Generating Function, and Cassini‐Type Identities

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This study establishes a novel algebraic connection between Horadam numbers and the split quaternion algebra. To this end, two fundamental constructs are introduced: the Fibonacci Sq,r‐split quaternions and the Horadam sq,r‐split quaternions, which generalize Horadam numbers within the framework of split quaternions.

On the Adjacent Cycle Derangements

open access: yesInternational Scholarly Research Notices, Volume 2012, Issue 1, 2012., 2012
A derangement, that is, a permutation without fixed points, of a finite set is said to be an adjacent cycle when all its cycles are formed by a consecutive set of integers. In this paper we determine enumerative properties of these permutations using analytical and bijective proofs.

Fibonacci’s Computation Methods vs Modern Algorithms

open access: yesReti Medievali Rivista, 2013
In this paper we discuss some computational procedures given by Leonardo Pisano Fibonacci in his famous Liber Abaci book, and we propose their translation into a modern language for computers (C ++).

Indian cosmogonies and cosmologies [PDF]

open access: yesFilozofija i Društvo, 2011
Various ideas on how the universe appeared and develops, were in Indian tradition related to mythic, religious, or philosophical ideas and contexts, and developed during some 3.000 years - from the time of Vedas, to Puranas. Conserning its appeareance,

The Hausdorff Dimension of the Penrose Universe

open access: yesPhysics Research International, Volume 2011, Issue 1, 2011., 2011
Penrose fractal tiling is one of the simplest generic examples for a noncommutative space. In the present work, we determine the Hausdorff dimension corresponding to a four‐dimensional analogue of the so‐calledPenrose Universe and show how it could be used in resolving various fundamental problems in high energy physics and cosmology.

A New Generalization of Leonardo Sequences: Biperiodic Leonardo Sequence

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
In this study, we define a new type of number sequence called biperiodic Leonardo sequence by the recurrence relation Lena,b=aLen−1+Len−2+1 (for even n) and Lena,b=bLen−1+Len−2+1 (for odd n) with the initial conditions Le0a,b=Le1a,b=1. We obtained the characteristic function, generating function, and Binet’s formula for this sequence and propose a ...

Sunflower Array Antenna with Adjustable Density Taper

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, Volume 2009, Issue 1, 2009., 2009
A deterministic procedure to design a nonperiodic planar array radiating a rotationally symmetric pencil beam pattern with an adjustable sidelobe level is proposed. The elements positions are derived by modifying the peculiar locations of the sunflower seeds in such a way that the corresponding spatial density fits a Taylor amplitude tapering law which
