On the Extended (k, t) - Fibonacci Numbers

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Mathematics and Computer Science
This article studies an extension of the concept of k-Fibonacci numbers by introducing a new non-zero positive integer parameter t. In case t = 1, the numbers found are the Leonardo numbers.

On the norms and Hadamard product of Toeplitz matrices involving Leonardo numbers [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Moravica
In this study, we consider the Toeplitz matrices with entries being Leonardo numbers. We have found upper and lower bounds for the spectral norms of these matrices, considering also the Hadamard product of this type of matrix.

On the lexicographic representation of numbers

open access: yes, 2015
It is proven that, contrarily to the common belief, the notion of zero is not necessary for having positional representations of numbers. Namely, for any positive integer $k$, a positional representation with the symbols for $1, 2, \ldots, k$ is given ...

On The Generalized Leonardo Quaternions and Associated Spinors

open access: yesKragujevac Journal of Mathematics
In this paper, we introduce and study a new family of sequences called the generalized Leonardo spinors by defining a linear correspondence between the generalized Leonardo quaternions and spinors.

Fibonacci's Liber Abbaci and "the origin of things" of Maria Montessori

open access: yesRivista di Storia dell'Educazione
This article discusses some aspects of the arithmetic of Fibonacci's Liber Abbaci and the related pedagogical idea of the Pisan mathematician, described in the Prologue of the work and which can be seen from reading the text.

Algorithms for representing positive odd integers as the sum of arithmetic progressions [PDF]

open access: yesNotes on Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics
This paper delves into the historical and recent developments in this area of mathematical inquiry, tracing the evolution from Wheatstone's representation of powers of an integer as sums of arithmetic progressions to extensions of Sylvester's Theorem ...
