Evolutionary dynamics on a regular networked structured and unstructured multi‐population

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract In this paper, we study collective decision‐making in a multi‐population framework, where groups of individuals represent whole populations that interact by means of a regular network. Each group consists of a number of players and every player can choose between two options.

Reassessment of Xenodens calminechari with a discussion of tooth morphology in mosasaurs

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Xenodens calminechari is a mosasaurid taxon named by Longrich et al. (2021) based on the holotype MHNM.KH.331, a left maxilla with several teeth. This holotype was obtained nonscientifically (without technical supervision) from an area in Morocco that yields many manipulated or forged specimens. Examination of Longrich et al.

Some Properties of the Generalized Leonardo Numbers

open access: yesJournal of New Theory
In this study, various properties of the generalized Leonardo numbers, which are one of the generalizations of Leonardo numbers, have been investigated. Additionally, some identities among the generalized Leonardo numbers have been obtained. Furthermore, some identities between Fibonacci numbers and generalized Leonardo numbers have been provided.

Combinatorial proofs of identities for the generalized Leonardo numbers

open access: yesNotes on Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics, 2022
In this paper, we provide combinatorial proofs of several prior identities satisfied by the recently introduced generalized Leonardo numbers, denoted by \mathcal{L}_{k,n}, as well as derive some new formulas. To do so, we interpret \mathcal{L}_{k,n} as the enumerator of two classes of linear colored tilings of length n.

Comparative and functional anatomy of masticatory muscles and bite force in opossums (Didelphimorphia, Didelphidae)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
We describe the functional anatomy of masticatory muscles in nine opossums, finding a generalized anatomical pattern with differences related to skull morphology. Variation in quantitative myological data and estimated bite force was mostly related to size, and the increase in bite force supports dietary diversification associated with size increase ...

Multiplicity of Closed Reeb Orbits on Prequantization Bundles

open access: yes, 2017
We establish multiplicity results for geometrically distinct contractible closed Reeb orbits of non-degenerate contact forms on a broad class of prequantization bundles.

Pell Leonardo numbers and their matrix representations

open access: yesJournal of New Results in Science
In this study, we investigate Pell numbers and Leonardo numbers and describe a new third-order number sequence entitled Pell Leonardo numbers. We then construct some identities, including the Binet formula, generating function, exponential generating function, Catalan, Cassini, and d’Ocagne’s identities for Pell Leonardo numbers and obtain a relation ...

The art and craft of anatomy

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, EarlyView.
Abstract Understanding human anatomy is crucial for improving public health outcomes; however, effective methods of engaging the public in this domain remain underexplored. This report investigates four hands‐on, creative, and accessible methods for enhancing anatomical knowledge during public engagement events: drawing, clay modeling, needle felting ...

General rules for bosonic bunching in multimode interferometers

open access: yes, 2013
We perform a comprehensive set of experiments that characterize bosonic bunching of up to 3 photons in interferometers of up to 16 modes. Our experiments verify two rules that govern bosonic bunching.

Exploring quinolinone–chalcones: Synthesis, antioxidant potential and industrial applications in biofuels

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract Biofuels undergo oxidative degradation, which reduces their storage stability and efficiency, hindering their large‐scale adoption and integration into the global energy matrix. To address this issue, we synthesized and characterized four novel quinolinone–chalcone derivatives (substituted with Br, Cl, OCH3 and OCH2CH3) as potential ...
