On the Leonardo Sequence via Pascal-Type Triangles

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
In this study, we discussed the Leonardo number sequence, which has been studied recently and caught more attention. We used Pascal and Hosoya-like triangles to make it easier to examine the basic properties of these numbers.

Spaceability and algebrability of sets of nowhere integrable functions

open access: yes, 2012
We show that the set of Lebesgue integrable functions in $[0,1]$ which are nowhere essentially bounded is spaceable, improving a result from [F. J. Garc\'{i}a-Pacheco, M. Mart\'{i}n, and J. B. Seoane-Sep\'ulveda.

A New Generalization of Leonardo Sequences: Biperiodic Leonardo Sequence

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
In this study, we define a new type of number sequence called biperiodic Leonardo sequence by the recurrence relation Lena,b=aLen−1+Len−2+1 (for even n) and Lena,b=bLen−1+Len−2+1 (for odd n) with the initial conditions Le0a,b=Le1a,b=1.

Multiplicity of Closed Reeb Orbits on Prequantization Bundles

open access: yes, 2017
We establish multiplicity results for geometrically distinct contractible closed Reeb orbits of non-degenerate contact forms on a broad class of prequantization bundles.

Industrial Design: On Its Characteristics and Relationships to the Visual Fine Arts [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
Industrial design and the visual arts share a common aesthetic basis as demonstrated by their common use of aesthetic principles and by designers who are also visual artists.

An Estimation of CPI Biases in Argentina 1985-2005, and its Implications on Real Income Growth and Income Distribution [PDF]

open access: yes
We use the shifts in Engel curves estimated from household surveys to estimate CPI biases in Argentina between 1985 and 2005. We find that real earning levels increased during this period between 4.3 and 5.7% faster per year than previously estimated ...

Optimizing Dimensions in Furniture Design: A Literature Review

open access: yesBioResources
Wooden furniture design necessitates the integration of both technological requirements and aesthetic considerations. To guide designers in achieving this balance, this article explores how established design principles, such as proportions and preferred
