k-Essential leptogenesis [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2003
K-essence is a possible candidate for dark energy of the Universe. In this paper we consider couplings of k-essence to the matter fields of the standard electroweak theory and study the effects of the cosmological CPT violation induced by the CPT violating {\bf Ether} during the evolution of the k-essence scalar field on the laboratory experiments and ...

Z′ Portal Dark Matter in the Minimal B − L Model

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
We consider a dark matter scenario in the context of the minimal extension of the Standard Model (SM) with a B − L (baryon number minus lepton number) gauge symmetry, where three right‐handed neutrinos with a B − L charge −1 and a B − L Higgs field with a B − L charge +2 are introduced to make the model anomaly‐free and to break the B − L gauge ...

Singlet Fermion Assisted Dominant Seesaw with Lepton Flavor and Number Violations and Leptogenesis

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
Embedding type I seesaw in GUTs, left‐right gauge theories, or even in extensions of the SM requires large right‐handed neutrino masses making the neutrino mass generation mechanism inaccessible for direct experimental tests. This has been circumvented by introducing additional textures or high degree of fine‐tuning in the Dirac neutrino or right ...

Thermal leptogenesis in the minimal gauged U 1 L μ − L τ $$ \textrm{U}{(1)}_{L_{\mu }-{L}_{\tau }} $$ model

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We discuss the thermal leptogenesis mechanism within the minimal gauged U 1 L μ − L τ $$ \textrm{U}{(1)}_{L_{\mu }-{L}_{\tau }} $$ model to explain the observed baryon asymmetry of the Universe (BAU).

Starobinsky Inflation: From Non‐SUSY to SUGRA Realizations

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
We review the realization of Starobinsky‐type inflation within induced‐gravity supersymmetric (SUSY) and non‐SUSY models. In both cases, inflation is in agreement with the current data and can be attained for sub‐Planckian values of the inflation.

Flavoured resonant leptogenesis at sub-TeV scales

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2021
We consider sub-TeV scale flavoured resonant leptogenesis within the minimal type-I seesaw scenario with two right-handed singlet neutrinos N1,2 forming a pseudo-Dirac pair, concentrating on the case of masses of the pseudo-Dirac pair having values M1,2 ...

Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay: 2015 Review

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2016, Issue 1, 2016., 2016
The discovery of neutrino masses through the observation of oscillations boosted the importance of neutrinoless double beta decay (0νββ). In this paper, we review the main features of this process, underlining its key role from both the experimental and theoretical point of view. In particular, we contextualize the 0νββ in the panorama of lepton number

Robustness of ARS leptogenesis in scalar extensions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
Extensions of the Standard Model (SM) with sterile neutrinos are well motivated from the observed oscillations of the light neutrinos and they have shown to successfully explain the Baryon Asymmetry of the Universe (BAU) through, for instance, the so ...

Inflationary gravitational leptogenesis

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2022
We consider the generation of the baryon asymmetry in models with right-handed neutrinos produced through gravitational scattering of the inflaton during reheating. The right-handed neutrinos later decay and generate a lepton asymmetry, which is partially converted to a baryon asymmetry by Standard Model sphaleron processes.
