THE LEPTOGRAPHIUM COMPLEX VERTICICLADIELLA HUGHES
Canadian Journal of Botany, 1962The type species of the generic name Verticicladiella Hughes, V. abietina (Peck) Hughes, is illustrated and redescribed. Six other species, four of which are new, are also included in this genus of hyphomycetes, which is distinguished from Leptographium by its different method of conidium development.

THE LEPTOGRAPHIUM COMPLEX. PHIALOCEPHALA GEN. NOV.
Canadian Journal of Botany, 1961Some Leptographium-like hyphomycetes are maintained as distinct from that genus on the basis of spore ontogeny, and a new genus, Phialocephala, erected for them.

THE LEPTOGRAPHIUM COMPLEX. SCOPULARIA VENUSTA PREUSS
Canadian Journal of Botany, 1964The type of Scopularia venusta Preuss (1851), believed to be the first species ever described in the group of fungi now known as the Leptographium complex, has recently been rediscovered. Examination of this material has shown it to be in such poor condition that recognition of the species is impossible. Therefore, the generic names Scopularia Preuss (

Leptographium piriforme — first record for Europe and of potential pathogenicity
Biologia, 2010Leptographium piriforme Greif, Gibas & Currah, described in 2006 from western Canada has recently been collected in Jaroszowiec in Poland. The ophiostomatoid fungus L. piriforme was isolated from fallen Pinus sylvestris L. shoots infested by Tomicus spp.

Differences in synchronization of stages of conidial development in Leptographium species
Transactions of the British Mycological Society, 1988Stages involved in conidial and conidiogenous cell development in three Leptographium spp. are illustrated by SEM and TEM micrographs. A diagrammatic scheme is presented to illustrate duration of the different stages relative to each other and the effect this has on the morphology of the conidiogenous cell.

THE LEPTOGRAPHIUM COMPLEX: TWO NEW SPECIES OF PHIALOCEPHALA
Canadian Journal of Botany, 1963Two new species are described in the lignicolous Hyphomycete genus Phialocephala Kendrick, and a key is given to the members of the genus.

Leptographium globosum sp. nov., a new species with globose conidia
Mycological Progress, 2014A new species of Leptographium, L. globosum, is proposed for a fungus collected from dead hardwood in Taiwan. It is characterized by brown, penicillately branched conidiophores, formed on rhizoids, and producing globose conidia. A hyalorhinocladiella-like synanamorph is present.

Heterokaryosis and Vegetative Compatibility inLeptographium wageneri
Phytopathology, 1990Vegetative compatibility was tested among 76 isolates of Leptographium wageneri representing three taxonomic varieties and 14 electrophoretic phenotypes (i.e., unique combinations of isozyme patterns of 21 enzymes). Nitrate non-utilizing mutants selected on media containing the nitrate analogue chlorae were paired on nitrate media containing 200 ppm ...
