Neutrino-Mass Hierarchies and Non-linear Representation of Lepton-Flavour Symmetry

open access: yes, 2008
Lepton-flavour symmetry in the Standard Model is broken by small masses for charged leptons and neutrinos. Introducing neutrino masses via dimension-5 operators associated to lepton-number violation at a very high scale, the corresponding coupling matrix

Delbrück Scattering above the Pair Production Threshold: Going beyond the Born Approximation

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 536, Issue 3, March 2024.
This article presents an accurate approach for the calculation of Delbrück scattering amplitudes above the electron–positron pair production threshold that accounts for the Coulomb interaction with nucleus to all orders in αZ$\alpha Z$. Explicit calculations for the scattering of 2.754 MeV photons by zinc, cerium, lead, and plutonium nuclei are ...

Leptonic CP violation and Wolfenstein parametrization for lepton mixing

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2014
We investigate a general structure of lepton mixing matrix resulting from the SU$_F$(3) gauge family model with an appropriate vacuum structure of SU$_F$(3) symmetry breaking. It is shown that the lepton mixing matrix can be parametrized by using the Wolfenstein parametrization method to characterize its deviation from the tri-bimaximal mixing.

Mass hierarchy of leptons and hadrons within the framework of electrodynamics [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1999
Structure of leptons and hadrons within the framework of electrodynamics is considered. Muon and tau-lepton have the structure of 3 electrons. The mass of muon is defined by the section of two-photon annihilation. The mass of tau-lepton is defined by the section of three-photon annihilation.

Diffusion of charm quarks in jets in high-energy heavy-ion collisions

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
The radial distribution of $$D^0$$ D0 mesons in jets probes the diffusion of charm quark relative to the jet axis and provides a new perspective to study the interaction mechanisms between heavy quarks and the medium in the nucleus-nucleus collisions ...

Direct CP violation in semi-leptonic and leptonic decays [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1999
We show that direct CP violation in semi-leptonic and leptonic decays can occur in multi-Higgs doublet extensions of the electroweak standard model with flavor changing neutral currents. For pion and lepton decays these $CP$ violating effects cannot be constrained directly by experimental data since up to now the branching ratio of the decays $\pi ...

K0-K¯0 Mixing in the Minimal Flavor-Violating Two-Higgs-Doublet Models

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2017
The two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM), as one of the simplest extensions of the Standard Model (SM), is obtained by adding another scalar doublet to the SM and is featured by a pair of charged Higgs, which could affect many low-energy processes.

NLO Productions of $$\omega $$ ω and $$K^0_{\mathrm{S}}$$ KS0 with a global extraction of the jet transport parameter in heavy-ion collisions

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
In this work, we pave the way to calculate the productions of $$\omega $$ ω and $$K^0_{\mathrm{S}}$$ KS0 mesons with large $$p_T$$ pT in p+p and A+A collisions both at RHIC and LHC.

Lepton-Flavor Violating Decay of Tau Lepton in the Supersymmetric Seesaw Model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2002
Now the bounds on the lepton-flavor violating (LFV) decay modes of tau lepton are being improved by the Belle experiment in the KEK B factory. In this paper the LFV decay of tau lepton is discussed in the supersymmetric seesaw model, using the current neutrino oscillation data.

Rare Kaon Decay Experiments at CERN

open access: yes, 2013
The NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS aims to measure the branching ratio of the rare decay $K^+\to\pi^+\nu\bar\nu$ with a relative precision of $\sim10%$.
