The (ir)Relevance of Initial Conditions in Soft Leptogenesis
We explore how the initial conditions affect the final lepton asymmetry in Soft Leptogenesis. It has been usually assumed that the initial state is a statistical mixture of sterile sneutrinos and anti-sneutrinos with equal abundances.

Quark Mixing Matrix Studies and Lepton Flavor Violation Searches Using Rare Decays of Kaons [PDF]
I review recent results from experiments on rare decays of kaons, concentrating on searches for lepton flavor violation (LFV) and on measurements of quark mixing (CKM) matrix elements. The LFV results are the culmination of 15 years of experimentation at

Production of Dileptons in Ultraperipheral Heavy‐Ion Collisions With Two‐Photon Processes
We study the photoproduction process of dileptons in heavy‐ion collision at relativistic heavy‐ion collider (RHIC) and large hadron collider (LHC) energies. The equivalent photon approximation, which equates the electromagnetic field of high‐energy charged particles to the photon flux, is used to calculate the processes of dilepton production.

Primordial Lepton Family Asymmtries in Seesaw Model
In leptogenesis scenario, the decays of heavy Majorana neutrinos generate lepton family asymmetries, $Y_e, Y_{\mu}$ and $Y_{\tau}$. They are sensitive to CP violating phases in seesaw models.

Large leptonic flavour mixing and the mass spectrum of leptons [PDF]
Implications of a simple model for the mass generation of leptons are studied, in particular for the upcoming long-baseline neutrino experiments. The flavor mixing angles are large (nearly maximal). The probability for the long-baseline _ \leftrightarrow _e oscillation is predicted to be about 1%.

Flavor in SU(5)$SU(5)$ Finite Grand Unified Models
Abstract Four SU(5)N=1$SU(5) \nobreakspace N=1$ supersymmetric models which exhibit S3$S_3$ and/or ZN$Z_N$ symmetries are studied, that are finite to two or all loops, and their corresponding mass matrices. The first is an all‐loop finite model based on an S3×Z3×Z2$S_3\times Z_3\times Z_2$ flavor symmetry, which leads to phenomenologically nonviable ...

Perturbations of bounce inflation scenario from f(T) modified gravity revisited
In this work, we revisit the perturbations that are generated in the bounce inflation scenario constructed within the framework of f(T) theory. It has been well known that pure f(T) theory cannot give rise to bounce inflation behavior, so aside from the ...

Probing new physics signals with symmetry-restored Yukawa textures
We implement a symmetry violation guideline into a two-Higgs-doublet model embedded with three right-handed neutrinos, and exploit the generic Yukawa structures of the model via a hypothetical symmetry restoration of a global $$U_Q(1)^3\times U_L(1)^3 ...

Measurement of the lifetime of the tau lepton [PDF]
The tau lepton lifetime is measured with the L3 detector at LEP using the complete data taken at centre-of-mass energies around the Z pole resulting in tau_tau = 293.2 +/- 2.0 (stat) +/- 1.5 (syst) fs. The comparison of this result with the muon lifetime supports lepton universality of the weak charged current at the level of six per mille.

Generation of Quantum Vortex Electrons with Intense Laser Pulses
Wave functions of high‐energy electrons can be manipulated with ultra‐short intense laser pulses. Nonlinear scattering theory illustrates the efficient transfer of numerous spin angular momenta of laser photons to orbital angular momenta of scattered electrons, twisting electron wave functions into quantum vortex states.
