Depuis 1991, #Heteropsylla cubana# est devenu un important ravageur de #Leucaena# sp. à la Réunion. Les observations menées dans le cadre de la lutte intégrée contre ce ravageur ont montré une certaine résistance de #Leucaena diversifolia# Buitenzorg contre les psyllides dans la région fortement infestée de Trois Bassins.
