The analysis of indigoid dyes as leuco forms by NMR spectroscopy*
Coloration Technology, 20001H and 13C NMR spectra of halogen‐ and alkoxy‐substituted indigoid dyes (indigotins), and of some unknown deuterated indigotins as leuco forms (i.e., reduced forms or ‘vats’), in deuterium oxide are recorded and discussed. NMR spectroscopy is a useful technique for the identification and characterisation of this traditional class of vat dyes.

The Chemistry of Esters of Leuco Vat Dyes. V– The Action of Light
Journal of the Society of Dyers and Colourists, 1965The rates of reaction, under the influence of light, of the sulphuric acid esters of several leuco vat dyes have been measured in the presence of different amounts of hydrogen peroxide. The results can be explained if light causes hydrolysis of the sulphuric ester to the leuco vat dye, and it has been possible to demonstrate this reaction by ...

Synthesis and characterization of polyurea microcapsules containing leuco dye
This thesis synthesized polyurea microcapsules containing leuco dye by interfacial polymerization. Wall materials and the ratios of core-to-wall were investigated to improve the characteristics of the microcapsules. The effect of core-to-wall ratio, wall material types (HDI, MDI and EDA) on the morphologies, particle size distribution of the resultant ...openaire +1 more source
