Oral leukoplakia are the most common premalignant lesions of the oral cavity. The possibility of degeneration of these lesions to squamous cell carcinoma (survival rate at 5 years 30-50%), implies the need to find a treatment to prevent this malignant transformation and at the same time with minimal side effects.
