Family Leucosiidae Samouelle, 1819 Remarks. The family is rather diverse, embracing nearly 500 extant species and more than 100 species known exclusively as fossils (Ng et al. 2008; De Grave et al. 2009; Schweitzer et al. 2010). There are at least nine extinct genera with unknown affinities to extant taxa not assigned to a particular subfamily.
